Failed Men = Failed Church.
Failed Church =Failed State.
I. Introduction
We are living in remarkable times but not in the way that is encouraging. Throughout the Western world, including the Caribbean, there is a huge fault line, now clearly manifest, that separates those that deny God’s law and those who obey it. This fault line has even affected the evangelical church sphere and the church has contributed quite a large number of the sins; mainly through feckless leadership, that for some mysterious reason wants to be thought winsome and respected by the cool kids. This is especially true in Dominica. Thus Dominica is becoming the sort of the Hell-hole that Christians are trying to escape from elsewhere (and that we left in the U.S.) and all because the Dominican Church is acting like a whore.
II. Qualifications
This letter is written to everyone who lives in Dominica but the spot light is on the men of the church. So what or who is the church? Most would say church is a building where Christians meet to worship God, yes but it’s more. Let’s go further in and further up. The word translated "church" in the English Bible is ekklesia. This word is from the Greek word kaleo (to call), with the prefix ek (out). Thus, the word means "the called out ones." However, the English word "church" does not come from ekklesia but from the word kuriakon, which means "dedicated to the Lord." In summary, the church is the body of Christ (Christians) that are called out by God through Jesus Christ from their death in sin into the New Covenant. This New Covenant was established 2000 years ago through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, His death and resurrection from the grave on the third day as prophesied in Scripture. So how am I able to call myself a Christian? Because I believe that Jesus Christ is who He said He is! Repent and believe!
III. The Men = The Leadership
To the men in leadership of the churches in Dominica (I say men, because only men are qualified to lead the churches), I am calling you all, whether you be Pastors, Elders, or Deacons, to account! The lie of secularism has lured many evangelical leaders into the false notion that the conflict between good and evil is like a football game with neutral referees. According to this naive view, the refs just call the penalties, applying them equitably to both sides and somehow the refs are supposed to apply their calls “honestly,” but without being in submission to any particular sectarian standard or definition of honesty. Under this view, the referees judge the game in accordance with some undefined rule book from somewhere, but ultimately this view is nonsense. Jesus can rightly call his opponents whitewashed sepulchers because they were in fact just like whitewashed sepulchers (appearing respectable on the outside but being corrupted on the inside), and they (the Pharisees) DO NOT get to call Him a glutton and a drunkard because He was NOT either a glutton or a drunkard. There is no penalty here for generic “name calling;” rather, there is the truth and there are lies and nothing in-between, something the men leading the Church are supposed to know and desperately need to remember.

During the last few years, we all experienced the power grab of a pandemic. We all saw men and women who played God and decided that churches in general were not essential. We all packed into a bus with 15 people wearing a mask that saved no one and in the midst of this obvious idiocy, the church leadership sat idle instead of fighting for the flock, for the truth. We mocked God by saying Zoom was fellowship and posting the State’s religious posters all over our buildings. Most pastors, if not all, bent the knee to Caesar when they should have been willing to give their lives. Have they stood before their congregation from the same pulpit, which had recently been covered in Plexi -glass, and repented for their sin of cowardice and compromise?
Then we have all of the false pastors, false preachers, false prophets, healers and evangelists but these types are not false beggars; for they always want your money. They despise righteous men and desire to lock them up but you can’t lock up the truth that the righteous men proclaim. As you read this you need to understand that men are the leaders, not women, not children. Men are called to lead directly from God. 1 Corinthians 11:3 says, “But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” So, men of God, it is time to repent get right with God, become the righteous man God intends you to be, for your leadership is desperately needed in this country.
IV. The Church = The Body of Christ

Again, I say, Dominica is becoming increasingly like the sort of hell-hole Christians are trying to escape because the Church is acting like a whore and the judgment has begun now with the household of God, just as it always happens. Thus, as a congregation of Christians through the nation, we must repent as the Body of Christ. We must be Holy before our Holy God. We must also understand that the psalmist routinely tells us that God, when He intervenes in human affairs, does so in order to take sides, there is a right and a wrong, there is no neutral ground. There is a fundamental division in the human race between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent and we must always remember this antithesis (Gen 3:15). You have enemies? We all have enemies. And God instructs us to fight them, and to fight them in the way that He leads. He provides the strength to fight, and He teaches us the techniques of fighting, even of fighting enemies that are spiritual, political, or even ecclesiastical in nature (Eph 6:12).

This is also one of the reasons we should be singing psalms. The psalms are filled with enemies and our music should be teaching us how to deal with them. The hymnody of the last few centuries is distinguished by its singular lack of enemies and the modern day “Jesus is my girlfriend” songs leave us with short term emotional highs, with not a foe in sight. If we ask how the Lord teaches us warfare, the answer is found in immersion in the Word. Read it, meditate on it, sing it, memorize it, use it in the liturgy, and read it some more. Sing it some more. Men, we are called to be warriors. Warriors slay dragons, and they also get the girl!
V. The Failed State
I’m not here to simply battle injustice of the government of Dominica; even a blind man can see they are their own worst enemy. They even stooped so low as to willfully choose to be used by an NGO in Mahaut to attack my family instead of doing the dirty work themselves. This of course is not the first time the State has played the part of the fool. However, this time they have sinned against a righteous man and his family and God will not acquit the guilty. Remember, and never forget, that they actually sent my wife and children to jail to cover their corruption. In doing so, those in the power of authority have chosen to bring the wrath of God down on their heads. So, on I go, on I write, on I speak, and all in order to shine the light on the vipers and wolves and to expose them before the people of God. I work at this, not for any earthly reward, but only to tell how the State has prostituted the poor of this country for countless handouts. Is it not clear that for more than a generation the politicians’ pockets have grown heavy with the wealth of this country? Their homes, vehicles, and vacations are never lacking, but they are lacking in charity, justice, and righteousness. Stop a moment and consider, if you have a reaction to pick up a political color, let’s say red, to blame for this then you are also part of the problem, for sin and corruption is found in all colors of the political parties. This is an uncomfortable fact for us to face and I will have to dive into this topic another day, but do not be fooled into thinking this is an issue that can be solved by another election or audit. That is plainly false.

The State has failed us morally and this is because the leadership itself is morally bankrupt and that has caused for us a financially bankrupt future, one that will have lasting consequences for all of us living here. Yet, instead of calling out the sin, the men and the church have pulled away. This is an even greater sin. Men that fear God know that He dwells in two places. He inhabits eternity—He dwells in that high and holy place. That is one. But He also dwells in the hearts of the lowly. Therefore, Christian men of Dominica, it is the time for the God fearing among us to stand in unity before our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the King of Dominica. We must have courage; we must not be cowards. No longer shall we waste our battles.
Christ or Chaos,
